The Globe Australia Pro went down a week ago, and it was undoubtedly the best vert ramp event Australia has seen in a long time!
Located in one of Globe’s warehouses, the ramp is a close replica of the OG Prahran ramp where the Hill brothers (founders of Globe) cut their teeth skateboarding in the ’80s and ’90s. Paying homage to where it all started for Hardcore Distribution and Globe, the Hills had Tom Flaherty build a classic wooden ramp with 10 ½’ transition, 1’ vert, 28’ wide, and a roll-in.
Australia’s top vert skaters, along with many esteemed international guests, took to the ramp, all vying for a piece of the $80,000 prize purse.
Congrats to JD Sanchez and Arisa Trew for taking out first place in the men's and women's and $20k each!
